Frequently asked questions

How do I slow a video down for slow-motion?
Set a speed below 1×, such as 0.5× for half speed or 0.25× for a quarter. The clip plays back slower and runs longer. Bear in mind that slowing footage cannot add frames, so very low speeds on standard video can look slightly choppy.
Does changing the speed keep the audio in sync?
Yes. The audio is re-timed along with the picture so they stay together. Within a sensible range the pitch is handled so sped-up speech does not turn into a chipmunk and slowed speech does not drone, though extreme speeds will still sound unusual.
How do I make a time-lapse from a long clip?
Set a high multiplier, like 4× or 8×, to compress a long recording into a short, fast playback. This is the simplest way to turn a lengthy static shot, such as a sunset or a build, into a quick time-lapse.
Will there be a watermark?
No. The output is your video, untouched apart from the change you asked for. There is no watermark, no logo and no overlay, and there is no paid tier to remove one.
Is my video uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser. Your video is read and processed on your own device, nothing is uploaded, and nothing is logged or stored.
