How do I crop a video to a square for Instagram?
Pick the square preset and the crop is set to a 1:1 frame, centred by default. Nudge the position if the subject sits off-centre, then crop and download. The result is a square clip ready for a feed post or profile grid.
Can I crop to vertical for Reels or TikTok?
Yes. Choose the portrait preset for a tall 9:16 frame, or set a custom width and height for any shape you need. The picture inside the frame is kept at full quality; only the edges outside it are removed.
Does cropping zoom in or cut the edges?
It cuts the edges. Cropping keeps a rectangle of the original frame and discards everything outside it, so the part you keep stays at its native detail rather than being stretched or enlarged.
