Frequently asked questions

Does reversing the video reverse the sound too?

You choose. By default the audio is reversed in step with the picture, which is what you want for a true rewind. If you would rather have a clean, silent reverse, switch the audio off and only the picture plays backwards.

Why does reversing a long clip take a while?

To play in reverse, the whole clip has to be read into order and re-encoded back to front on your own device, which uses more time and memory than a forward edit. Shorter clips reverse quickly; very long ones are best reversed in pieces.

Can I make a boomerang-style loop?

Reverse the clip here, then join the original and the reversed copy end to end with the merge tool. That gives the forward-then-backward bounce that makes a boomerang loop, without any app or account.

Will there be a watermark?

No. The output is your video, untouched apart from the change you asked for. There is no watermark, no logo and no overlay, and there is no paid tier to remove one.

Is my video uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser. Your video is read and processed on your own device, nothing is uploaded, and nothing is logged or stored.
